Paddy Habitat Mark 1
 
A small habitat / office module designed for short stays.
 
Comprising of a central module approx 20 metres in Diameter with 2 storage units on the side. It has Entrance and Exit Airlocks.
 
Built on two layers, Sleeping quarters are above the Office workshop level.  Designed to hold from 5 to up to 14 Staff ( Capt and Crew Chief have single bunks, 3 more two man suites could be hot swapped).
 
There is a Small central communial area with can be made a breathable area by the UMMU ( See UMMU documentation ).
 
Started as an learning exercise in UV mapping in WING3D, if it is of any use to someone then help yourself.
 
All the textures are freely available from the web but may only be used as part of a model.
The texture is a single 1024 by 1024 bit map which has been reduced to 512k by Paint.Net

I have only got a Mesh file and a texture file, shouldn't there be a config file to paste it into a base file?
 
Sorry But I really did not know a config is required. I have always added my buildings via Orbiter Base Marker (OBM). I would need a pointer as to what goes in the file but I am willing to write one and amend the ZIP file.
 
Very good. Very very good. I am now using this as the centrepeice for my Brighton Beach, at 3x larger. Brilliant texturing.

As I have the orginal files will see about making a bigger one.
 
Paddy, no need to make a bigger one, as we can change the size in the base configs. For example 1 1 1 uses the size of the mesh, I am using 3 3 3 so its 3 times bigger.
 
Loaded it up as 3 X size. Air locks seem capable of driving a truck through!!! Still if you can get something out of it all good with me.
 
Surprising it doesnt look quite that bad. I really need something to replace that horrendous center building at Brighton, and this is perfect. :)

Very nice, i've been looking for something like this (a simple long-stay lunar or martian base).
 
Working on Luna B and C as we speak. My textureing has got better so I think it to be much improved.
 
do i need to edit a config file or somehting to put this into a map? if anyone could PM me w/ a little info. i have some experience with this kind of stuff in other games, but not in orbiter. and i just have a couple quick questions. Much appreciated if possible thanks in advance to someone nice enough to help out :)
