It took me what seemed forever because of Indiana weather, but I am finally certified. Today's a happy day for me because I've finally knocked one of the major goals of my life, and now I have to move on and set new ones. It's a long way to an airline captain but now it doesn't seem so impossible because of this hurdle.

Cheers

Well done mate! Passing my PPL was one of the best achievements of my life so far. Cheers!

Congratulations on a job well done and welcome to the ranks of licensed pilots! May you have favorable winds on your flight toward your goal.
Now you get to buy the next round of drinks

Well done! The checkride makes it seem like the Solo was a piece of cake!
Now all you need to keep flying is Tons of $$$$$$:)!

Very cool - congrats! Getting your private pilot is a real accomplishment. It was a major goal of mine too, and passing the check ride was a real thrill. Enjoy!

Sad reality, and the reason I haven't flown in ages. :(

Unless you plan to make money flying or to be rich by other means it's an expensive hobby.

I hope the flight instructing part can help me out with hours a couple years from now.

Congratulations. I've found that the airplane flies best when the blue is above the brown on the artificial horizon. :speakcool:

Well done, and blue skies.

N.

Congratulations! I remembered when I got my license back in 1993. The best money I every spent. I have since gone on to my IFR ratings as well as complicated aircraft. You'll love it!

Congrats. I plan on getting mine and then I will enlist in the Aif Force and later try to enroll in NASA.

Congrats! Now to keep working on your other ratings . I've been flight instructing for a few months now and I love it. The money isn't exactly the greatest but at least I'm not the one paying to fly anymore ;).

Depends on the airplane, in my experience...

And congrats, Dan, welcome to an auspicious and honorable community. Stay sceptical while having fun - of the aircraft, its systems, the weather, the terrain, other aircraft, and background communications chatter. They'll all talk to you, if you'll listen...

Congrats Dan, this is something I've always wanted to do and still plan to do one day! :)
