If you download Google Earth, go to the moon and type in Apollo 15, zoom in down to where you have the point of view as if you were standing on the moon, and you'll notice that you can walk down into craters and up hills and over rocks. Also, somebody should update the moon textures with the ones Google are using. I'll research how to mimic all of this some more in the morning after I get a decent night of sleep.

Have you actually seen the level of textures that are available now in the Hangar for the moon? There is a couple out there that are Level 10 now. I don't know how much more detailed than that you'd want.

That's a pretty large file download for textures at about 165 megs.
And most of the level detail for most of the other planets out there don't get that detailed.
