An MFD to allow screenshot photography from within Orbiter to allow the user to conduct mission photography with output in jpg/bmp/png etc sent to an images folder for post mission review.

There's this one: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3279"]Screen capture[/ame].
Never tried it myself but, from the reviews, it seems good.

That would be pretty cool [CRTL] [Prnt Scrn] then exit and pasting it to a paint document gets old fast when you are trying to take multiple screen shots.

EDIT:
I should have posted quicker I'll have to try that one

Hey all,

Another way to get this done is to get a hold of Fraps. You can map screen or video capture to a single key. I've got screen shots set to F11 and take all sorts of photos while I'm out flying.

Inspired by the Mars Express fly-by I've been doing Delta IV trips to Phobos and have dozens of photos of the trips... If only I could land on the darn thing :(

One minor issue is that if you're on some basic autopilots like the multistage stuff... fraps may lag it just long enough to induce an unrecoverable spin in the vehicle.

I haven't tried the video out too much other than to establish that it does lag it enough that it can also interfere with autopilots.

I believe a Photography MFD should go beyond screenshot taking, and should be able to take pictures from another spacecraft viewpoint like the periscope camera on Project Mercury. I would think of it as an extension of Camera MFD, with orientable lenses and variable magnification levels and, to add to the challenge, focus modes. It's one thing to snap away at an approaching object, another to keep it into the viewfinder focus aiming point long enough for it to lock and then snap away...
