I will try to help you with the movie. Just let as know what scenes you like to take, so we can start practice on OMP.
You should also post your movie script in the forum for people without facebook, maybe in the Orbiter Multiplayer Project section.

A fluffy inspirational video about the 'future'? It's a nice video and we're all free to be as interested in things as we wish, but I'm still highly skeptical of what you're trying to do here. Mostly due to the fact that I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do here. No offence intended; it's just that a better explanation of your 'mission plan', so to speak, would be helpful.

Are you trying to;

1. Set up an organisation to search for actual NEOs and other potentially Earth-threatening bodies?

2. Simulate NEO detection and NEO rendezvous missions in Orbiter using OMP?

3. Make films relating to NEO detection, NEO rendezvous missions or the threat NEO or other bodies pose to Earth?

4. Engage in some sort of worldbuilding, meta-fictional work, or roleplaying game?
 
Why does it always have to be about the exact science on these forums? Why can't it be about one guy making a video? Why is it that a guy takes 2-3 weeks or more to make a video and you guys have to go into brainiac mode and tear that person down? Does that somehow stroke your ego by telling somebody they are wrong? Why is it you people always point out the inaccuracys of other people? Who cares.....If you dont like it then don't look!

Maybe it was the website that made people ask questions like that. It's a website for a fictional organization that was made to look like a real organization. (similar to some viral marketing campaigns for movies)

He's just making a film, for fun. This is the case especially when the promo video shows XR2s being launched on Energias.

At no point are we sure what PDF is trying to do here, the website attempts to show the P.D.F. as a (semi-)Professional 'network' of astronomers looking for Near Earth Objects (NEOs), but why is an organization like that interested in making all these videos. If T.Neo's 2nd, 3rd or 4th point is correct, then the website is showing the totally wrong message, and PDF is going about this all the wrong way.

What do you mean by this? there are no 'Cast Members' per se. Do you mean the people who flew in these videos? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9q2-tL-KqU"]Orbiter Multiplayer - Top Gun Ascension Island - YouTube[/ame] Because 2 of those pilots haven't been seen since feb/mar 2010. Additionaly a further pilot, who also happened to be the server host, stepped down a while ago for reasons I don't quite understand and are probably best left alone. This has left the OMP 1st Flight Squadron in a state of disrepair, however if you would like assistance I'm sure I can round up the troops again. ;) However the best thing to do would be to post a flight plan in the OMP subforum HERE, preferably with OMP close to the start of the thread name, so the pilots you want are more likely to click it. we are about due a reunion anyway... Make no mistake, this isn't going to happen overnight. For our last flight back in March it took a week to get everyone together then 2 hours to get the shots needed. Working with OMP takes time and can be frustrating, but you get shots you can't get any other way. For more insights see my after action report HERE.

Its true that, except from the formation flight I lead back in march I haven't been on OMP in quite some time, as I have been devoting the large chunks of spare time I get to other pursuits and getting my GCSEs finished. However it is also important to note I was there, and a major part of the OMP community back at the start of 2011 when Delta and Face released the OMP ORRL Fork. I produced several powershell scripts to aid in the smooth running of OMP and was even in the process of producing a base for OMP when I got sidetracked.

Now, that's enough thread derailing.
