Really nice work 4thRock,but the Agena target vehicle seems to be missing the American flag on it's side,But I could be wrong:rolleyes:,but it seems all the pics I have seen of the Agena the flag is there. Thanks again.:)

Yes, I should have mentioned it on the docs.

The texture is duplicated for both sides, so the flag will look flipped.
That's worse than not having it, in my opinion.
So I moved it to the forward of the Agena. It's visible inside the docking collar.
Not the best place, but it's there.

The only solution would be to change the mesh itself. Also, the Agena mesh would need to have the forward status panel materials set to emissive, and there should be some lights to aid in docking.
Just mentioning this for the sake of completeness, It's not something I plan to do.

You could use the cylindrical projection texture setting in An8 to get the texture around it.

Thanks for your honesty 4thRock.

I could have even redone the mesh and even leave it prepared to have a working the status panel .
But that would have taken more time, that I think was better spent with the Gemini capsule normalmaps, for example.

Perfect is the enemy of the Good - proverb, meaning that going for perfection will often prevent you from getting anything finished. :)

Anyway, if someone wants the flag so much, they can do a repaint for the repaint
I don't mind!

Thanks for your comments

The reflections are dependent on the version of the DX client and on your graphics hardware. I can't do much about it.

If they cause trouble, simply rename the agena1_refl.dds to agena1_refl.dd_
That will prevent it from loading.

Hey that looks really good! Haven't tried it yet, but the screencaps look really super...

Hello 4throck's
Here I noticed a visual effects that had not stopped me immediately.
A inside the GEMINI there is a decline in the quality of details on the sides of the capsule and on the doors.
screens are below the

Dashboards are raised and their textures are fine, but I do not understand why I lose quality on doors and sides of the capsule
I think the problem comes from mixing your textures and those of "replicant"...

Excuse my English I'm French and I translated with google ....
Congratulations again to these new textures are set with values D3D9RC12

I understand your comments .

I used images of a clean spacecraft for reference, such as this:
kgc7.jpg

2nmg.jpg

So some mission specific details might not be present. It's just like seeing a clean image of the ISS interior, when the modules were put in orbit, or an image taken now, where you have stuff everywhere.

Sure, there could be more details like some cloth/velcro patches, bags, etc, but in my opinion, less is more, so I went for detailed panels and generic clean capsule interior. And remember that the materials have discoloured, so the capsule interior, at the time, has white.
It's an option, of course, but that's the general look I intended.

The same goes for the door. Most of the details you mention in the original textures are in fact a duplication of the window, out of place and projected on the door inside surface. On the original spacecraft, the interior of the door as clean, with a cloth / insulation:

So yes, my version is more generic, but introduces less "noise" or wrong details. It's a matter of personal choice :). Feel free to use whatever texture set you like best, or whatever combination works better for you.

I think he may be entitled to a refund ...oh wait.

Hello 4th Rock's
thank you for your reply, in fact your choice for a clean inner capsule is rather realistic.
it is true that the capsules have been used only once each ...
There is another small problem, it concerns the blocks of RCS.
Comparing with period photos, you can notice that they do not have the correct position .....

Can you fix this?

I do not know the manufacture DIFFICULTY "skin" but I bow dvant this work and I thank you personally for all that you do for the Orbiter community.
Félicitaions and thank you again.

Thanks for you attention to detail.

Yes, the RCS assembly is not like the actual Gemini original, but it's closer.
To change the RCS jets, I'd need to change the sc3 config... and that will mean more files to overwrite, more people with different configs, etc, etc.

What Gemini needs is to get all files in one complete add-on, and not be separated over many. In part my wrong, as I've released repaints and updates to it over the time...

But I'm starting a new threat just to see if we can have permission to repack all the original meshes and textures under a single decent install.
Otherwise it will be fix upon fix an even more inaccuracy and confusion.
Neverthess your remark is noted and I'll try to fix this next time work in Gemini

Hello 4th Rock,
I wanted to test with Orbiter 2016 the formidable ADDON of "replican" with GEMINI missions, and install your ADDON to have great reflections and make beautiful screens e orbit above the Earth.

But I have a problem, I see that there is a part of the work of reflection but not totally for example the reflection of the Earth on the body of the AGENA is not visible.

I'm using Orbiter 2016 with the D3D9Client2016-R2-1
Maybe another version of the D3D9 client can fix this problem ?
