I recently downloaded the X-15 addon from Orbithangar a few days ago.

Why did it make me so long to discover this fantastic piece of work. From the very descriptive manual, to the accurate aerodynamics, I recommend this stunning addition to any Orbinaut.

Greg Burch did all the meshes and was the lead instigator - if your find anything wrong, blame him!

A few months back one of our users worked out a flight profile for attaining the historically correct maximum altitude with the XLR-11 (Timmy, I believe is his screen name - shame the M6 Forum is lost). I never could find a good description of the flight, but Timmy's profile feels right. I can go into the particulars, if you are interested. I think the light treatment of the XLR-11 flights is the only major hole in the manual and I was delighted to have a "third party" user plug it up.

nothing like cruising at mach3 at 82000 feet
