Putting a face to the name

Me earlier today, with my new (used, but as close as I'll get to new at this stage in life) car:

Didn't realise how lanky I was until seeing this.

It's a 2007 Pontiac G5, in unbelievably good condition for the price I got it for.

This is me about a month ago going flying for my birthday. The picture was taken back home at Merritt Island Airport. The plane seen here is a 1961 Cessna 172, owned by a friend of my flight instructor.

I figured I've been around here long enough that I ought a show my face! I think this was taken either this summer or last summer (I don't recall).

Me one year ago, but I'm still looking about the same...

Hm. I guess it is high time that I show my "face" as it is now, otherwise that hairy avatar will forever be the mental picture people here have of me.

Granted, maybe this is even worse, but at least it gives more reality to my occasional *evil grin*.

(taken 5 years ago at a MUD party - after maybe 4 beers)

My beast is visible in the background (running orbiter no less!) Unfortunately I'm sitting in front of the tower, but you can just about see the lights on the side reflecting off some of the stuff under the desk.

i like your taste in addons

btw - i still look the same...

Myself seconds ago.

I'm currently hairy enough for both of us, Face

Sorry, i just couldn't resist!

Given that my last picture in this thread was over three years ago and I've put on some weight since then, I suppose I ought to include what I look like nowadays...

That picture's from a bit more than a year ago, but I still look pretty much the same.

You said the 'M' word!

I thought I was about the only one left on the planet who remembers Diku/LPMuds. :)

So once more:
That's me in the Technik Museum Speyer in front of the OK-GLI (Buran Analog BST-02) test vehicle, in March 2011.

In the bottom left you can see the Soyuz TM-19 capsule. In the bottom right is a Spacelab mockup.

Seriously, I had this OF-Thread in mind, when I made my girlfriend take this picture.

Speyer is quite far away from my current location, and I was nagging my girlfriend to go to the museum for years, now.
Recently, friends of ours moved close to Speyer, so we had another reason to go there.

Tell the kiddies to leave the room. It's time for my mug.

Cool! I really need to go there. And with 300 km it's still closer than our capital...

Maybe I'll have some time to drive to Hemer in August. Soyuz TMA-13 is there since 2010 (I hope it's still there) and it's just one hour away.

Thanks for sharing your pics, it's good to see you all!

Happy orbiting guys and HAIL PROBE! :)
