Howdie folks.

Some of you may have read the plans for the Rocket Racing League. Well I'm gonna make some eye candy for it, along the lines of crowd stands and billboards and stuff.

Anyhoo, what any good racing league needs is sponsors! So, I thought it might be nice to get the community to offer up their Vitrtual company logos and the like, for feature on billboards and racing skins.

So if you fancy seeing your logo in lights at the showy end of the Racing League, then PM me and I will give you my email. Or post a link here that I can download/copy it from.

Sponsors so far:

AIA
Altea
ReFuel
Dig Tech
Pangloss
Astra Space
Oil Creek
Orbex
Woo Aerospace
Sly Cooper
Nae Technologies
OMP

I have my logo, just need to know how you want me to send the file, dimensions, file type any any other infomation that will apply to making this file

U know I just typed a VERY long post and spend like 10 minutes making sure it made sense when all I could have done was ask

Can u post some examples of where the logos are gonna be so I can do the hard work of making it fit for ya? You do soo much for the Orbiter community that I wanna make my logo the easiest to work with

Sponsorship by Pangloss Aerospace

Hey, I just remembered...>I< have a virtual company!

So, how about it? The Rocket Racing League is going to need some official emergency crew escape gear...from Pangloss Aerospace, maker of the famous Paracone....

You guys want a web page? New Year's break is coming up and I'll have spare time to do coding...
If orbiter-forum.com is willing to host it, it'd be cool... if not, it can be hosted under unrealaddicts.com domain.

Cheers for the responses all.

I will try to get some modelling done today, so that I can demo the advertising/sponsor boards for you guys.

But as a rough rule, anything square is always usable. And for rectangular stuff, maybe just stick to a 4:1 ratio.

Cheers for yours arrowstar, looks perfectly usable. I shall snatch any others I can from here and use them in the demos.

RisingFury, that's a great offer, thanks. I think it would prob be best to do something here in the forum first, to help get support and competition. Then, if need be, expand to another page/specialised site. Plus, if it is a success, OF is more likely to be willing to host.

Astrosammy - I get a 403 forbidden error on your link...

I get the same error as you

I also get the error, I'll post another link.

I might give you a Logo if I can think of a name to put on it

that one works astro, but I need to register to download it. Any chance you can do a version without that requirement? or PM me and I'll give you my email so you can direct send the file.

Well, that's ok... it's not like the site will be up over night and I'll probably have to code it from the start since it might be quite specific to the requirements... might wanna start gathering up ideas on what you want. Then I can assess if it should be written as a new website or as a plugin for the vBulletin system.

I also have a virtual company, Oil Creek Astronautix, the logo of which is painted in blue on the side of the LOrbS' inflateable hab. PM me if you want to use it (you can't see it clearly in this image and it's the only one I have up on the web right now):

Also, ask Greg Burch, I think his virtual company is called "Burchismo Aerospace" or similar.

ETA: Here's a jpg of the logo:
