(I did not expect to buy a new laptop so soon, but my 3-years old Lenovo Y450 had so many hardware problems that I was surprised that I held on to that for so long.... )

Aside of the CPU, it is what I am looking for...but sadly without the student price.

Why? Why bother?

Get something with a SSD instead of a "powerful mobile" graphics card. For day-to-day operations, the SSD makes MUCH MORE difference.
