Way to go, Buzz Killington.

Tommy Lee Jones, thank you for replacing McKayla, and that stupid cat.

The link is from december, but the case got back to the news, because a court has authorized the marriage some hours ago.

ARGENTINA: Woman Plans to Wed Man Convicted of Killing Her Twin Sister

An Argentina woman’s mother believes her daughter is mentally unstable for wanting to marry the man convicted of killing her twin sister.

In 2010, prosecutors believe Victor Cingolani killing model Johana Casas, 22, and leaving her body in a field. He was convicted of her murder and sentenced to 13 years in jail.

Cingolani had dated Johana but the two were reportedly not involved in a relationship at the time of her death. Instead, he claims Edith Casas, Johana’s twin sister is the true love of his life.

Now, as Edith prepares to marry her sister’s killer, her mother has submitted a request for a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation, postponing the wedding that was scheduled to occur on Saturday, December 22.

Other members of the family have stated they feel “a terrible betrayal” has occurred on the part of Edith.

Edith says that though Cingolani has been convicted of her sister’s murder he “would not hurt a fly.” Cingolani’s attorney claims a man named Marcos Diaz is Johana’s real killer.

I would say, this family as whole is mentally instable...

Reminds me on the biography of another soldier during my tour of duty there... he was reactor operator prior being conscripted into the army, and thus not only had the "callsign" Homer, but also had decorated the walls of his office with photographs of the pool type research reactor that he operated. Was a nice guy, extremely competent, but also spoke a VERY strong west-berlin dialect, which had the ability to infect people and make them adopt the dialect sooner or later.

Now, some decade and a half later, the same reactor is responsible that the ill-fated BER airport needs to redefine one of its departure routes, because some stupid plotted the missed approach departure exactly above the (only relatively unknown) research reactor. Which is pretty stupid because the reactor had already been known for years to be poorly designed for aviation accidents, because it has no strong containment structure (Not needed since there is no risk of steam explosions).

Who cares, no plane will leave BER until...well, that's the question.

I'm going with NET 2020, talk about SpaceX being slow

They would have no problems with the planes, if they would just avoid transporting passengers. ;)

After wrecking a large number of spaceplanes (XR series / DGIV) due to touch down too late and overrunning runways around the world, I finally remember that there's something called "reverse thrust" in the Orbiter world.......

Anyone here have used the retro engines during rollout on runways as a common practice?

Not as common practice, but I've had to do it many times, especially with the XR2.

-------

I have made it common practice to open the retro doors at the same time I lower my gear.

I've done it a couple times with the XR2, when landing too long at Wideawake.

I saw Die Hard 1 & 2 last night for the first time.

I swear, attempting suspension of disbelief on the plot of DH 2 must have taken about 60 points off my IQ.
