Humor Random Comments Thread

It seems that everytime a change is made to the UI of a major website (especially YouTube)...

...everyone treats it as if it were the end of the world.

Just wait until you see Xyon's new O-F after Saturday's move.

Though in all seriousness, yeah, according to some users it's impossible to improve a website. Often, it's a similar effect to this:

(But to be fair, sometimes website overhauls do make the UI worse.)

That's because not being able to comment on YouTube without Google+ IS simply :censored:.

Just click 'no I don't want to do that.' :P
I swear YouTube has changed multiple times each day for months now though.
And I'm looking at a comment now where someone realized there's no length limit.

Somehow I think it can't hurt to limit the ability to comment on youtube to as few douchebags as possible... :P

The change forced me to get Google+ and by default, everything you type on YouTube gets shared on Google+. You have to uncheck the box every time. Without Google+, you can't comment. The comments just freeze.

It should be up to me which profiles I open, not up to someone else to just assign them to me in order to be able to continue using a service. Right now I'm going through the damn Google+ settings and setting everything to be as invisible as possible, because I'm not going to use it and I want to control the footprint I leave on the internet.

Well, one more reason for me to not create an account there, even if I created a video I really wanted to show to other people.

The psychological effect of a CAS plane is wildly underestimated by the public.

If I would have a huge collection of gifs I would look for the one that goes like: "What?...No...What?...No!...That can't be real...Is it...did they really..."

Old YouTube comments are back:hailprobe:

Dammit, just on a few videos. There was a catch...

What if the Emperor was the Google CEO and Obi-Wan and Luke tried to bring back the old system before the Clone Wars. And Luke doesn't blow up a death star but a giant server collection based on the new system.

Okay, I saw how the new YouTube comment system was a bad thing...

The first YouTube video ever

The first comment ever was made by a certain COBALTGRUV: "Interesting..."

and now it's not visible as a top comment anymore. (it had thousands upon thousands of likes, too)

edit: also, the creator of the video above (jawed), who is also the co-founder of YouTube, said:
"why the :censored: do i need a google+ account to comment on a video?"
