Starting out with AMSO as a noob to Orbiter has got me a lot more interested in the Apollo missions and I've been watching as many documentaries and old footage as I can.
I'm no stranger to complexity in sims but I've been enjoying the cinematic experience of AMSO while just carrying out a few of the more interesting tasks such as docking.
No doubt in time I'll want something fully immersive, I'll want to understand everything and carryout lots of manual tasks with plenty of buttons to press, but as an introduction to Orbiter and the Apollo missions I'm finding AMSO great.
Same with the shuttle, I was proud enough to just land the Orbiter version of Atlantis first go, but eventually I'll want lots and lots of buttons to press in a VC and replicate actual missions in a realistic way.
