My typical rendezvous procedure (as I'm sure it is with many Orbinauts) is to launch into the proper orbit, align planes, sync orbits and dock within five or six orbits of MECO. I'm working on a project based on a fiction space agency, and I'm looking for more realistic procedures. As I recall, the shuttle docking takes about a day. What's the procedure for that?

Get into a chase orbit about 20km below your target orbit, then wait until your about 10° behind your target. Next raise your PeA until it intersects with your target on the other side of earth.

That should get you within 5km of the station, which is good enough to begin approach and docking.
