I heard it mentioned on the radio this morning that the BBC's 2016 Reith Lectures will be broadcast today at 0900GMT on BBC Radio 4 and available afterwards as a podcast or through iPlayer. This years speaker is Stephen Hawking and the topic is black holes so thought it was worth mentioning here.

I realise this may be common knowledge but I'd never heard of these lectures before.

Beat me to it Dickie! Reith Lectures an old BBC tradition, not as well known as the Royal Institution's, but aimed at an older audience. Been a bit boring lately, sure Hawking will liven it up.
