Researchers break Newton’s third law

Therein lies the problem. All science is claimed to be sound ... until it is either disproven, updated or someone else cannot replicate the experiments and results. Many, many examples. That is why peer review is required.

Take a quick look at the pharmaceutical industry. Their science and products are claimed to be sound, too ... until someone dies ... or worse (see thalidomide ... the science was sound here too, though to be fair the drug was designed and researched for leprosy and became a problem when it was used for something else, for which the science wasn't so sound).

When something is publicized without peer review, you have to look at who is sponsoring the work and why. Be wary of self-serving motivations.
