Buried in this article is this tidbit, which I thought was the coolest thing I've read in a very long time:

The ACES upper stage will use a pair of six-cylinder internal combustion engines to generate electrical power, provide propellant pressurization and push propellants to attitude control thrusters, eliminating multiple subsystems.
