(No, it's not named after the weapon, silly!)
Some of you may remember my first attempt at an addon vessel two years ago. First of all, thank you to everybody who supported me back then! Now, what does that have to to with today?
Let's just say that I decided to revive the Dwarven Spacefarers' Guild. But while the idea is still to create a "fantasy" spacecraft, I'm going for a slightly more serious approach, since the wacky gimmicks got to a point where they kept me from making something that "works" even with a good dose of fantasy physics.
But don't worry about it becoming too "sober": It will still be focused more on fun than realism, and there will definitely still be some "dwarfiness", even if it will be mostly eye candy at the start: While I tried to make the hull shape a bit more realistic, there will be parts with barrel and axe aesthetics as a nod to the original design. The cockpit probably won't be made of gem-encrusted marble, but I'm still planning for some anachronistic-looking analog gauges as well as sturdy looking switches, levers and other controls that may bear some resemblance to the interiors of old (steam) locomotives and other vintage vehicles.
The "basic" version of the spacecraft will consist of three parts: 1) A two-seat command and descent capsule, 2) an orbital maneuvering module and 3) a launch stage to get the other two into orbit.
If things go well, I plan to add UMMU support and two other module types: A cargo version of the maneuvering module to carry a small amount of (UCGO) payloads and boosters to launch the extra mass.

Things will probably go a bit slower this time, but hopefully this will keep me from "burning out" on the project or ending up getting stuck with a bunch of planned gimmicks that will only get in the way.
Suggestions are again welcome, just don't let them devolve into "Dwarf Fortress" level madness this time, please...
