News Secret nuclear sell-off storm

Hey, I also want a nuclear bomb factory!

Gordon Brown has taken us 21 trillion into debt. We are broke and he hasn't found any spare change at the back of the sofa.

Source for that 21 trillion? Considering that the American national debt is "only" $10 trillion, and us Americans are significantly better at wasteful spending than pretty much the rest of the world combined ($700 billion bailout, anyone?), I'd be willing to bet it's a lot less than 21 trillion. Maybe £1 trillion ( http://www.economicshelp.org/blog/uk-economy/uk-national-debt/ ), but I doubt 21.

Also, insert the obligatory all-your-base(and missiles)-are-belong-to-us comment here.

I think it is still 51 billion, not trillion... Not too bad...

Germany has 64.90% of it's national GDP in debts. And we still have many politicians who now shout, we should finance our economy on debts. Though these debts are now the reason why we have only little freedom in helping the economy.

It'll be £118bn. I think it's the world debt that's 21 trillion but knowing Gordon Brown...........

I know... Gorden Brown has still not forgiven George W. Bush for having "Miserable failure" point at his biography and not Browns.

On a slightly related note - I just saw a tv advert for free financial advice from a bank.... I was wondering how wise it would be to take a banks financial advice considering the mess the big banks have gotten themselves into........
