ugh, I HATE making mesh files, It's always so complicated... I'm more of a coder. I've been working on a "Secret Project" that should have been completed weeks ago, but a combination of small bouts of procrastination and the fact that I cannot make a mesh to save my life has put the project at a full stop.

I'll get the project going when I can, but for now, I might as well reveal a small detail that will make this craft truly amazing...

The main computer aboard the spacecraft is not only fully functional, but it is 100% reprogrammable. the computer runs using a form of machine code known as SAMC (don't look it up, it doesn't exist anywhere else). I've built a compiler (SAASM code, another thing that doesn't exist anywhere else.) and a simulator witch I will upload when I get fully functioning.

And as a historical note: this will be the first orbiter craft to have an emulated computer :).

Doesn't NASSP 7 emulate the AGC?

I thouht one of the Apollo projects (AMSO?) connected directly to VirtualAGC and ran the 1960's guidance programs.

That would probably be NASSP. AMSO is more fancy effects while NASSP is meant to be a real a possible.

NASSP indeed does run full AGC emulation, as detailed on their main wiki page, but only for vAGC difficulty mode.

That said, doing this will be no mean feat, and the best of luck to you.

vAGC mode isn't as hard as some make it out to be. You just have to be committed (there's no time acceleration over x10, or maybe it's like x40), and if you adhere to the checklists exactly you'll do fine. About a year ago I flew Apollo 8 vAGC and splashed down only 45 minutes early (thousands of miles off, too, but still probably my greatest Orbiter accomplishment).

So from the abbreviation, I'm guessing it's an assembly code kind of thing? Any chance at giving a peek at some sample code?

Why not post about this in addon development? I'm sure someone could make a decent mesh for you as it sounds like a very neat project.
