Hi, after adding the ISS to the default Shuttle Fleet Scenario, I wanted to edit the autopilot to roll to the correct ISS Inclination. Well I tried:

TGT_HEADING 143.000

from a tutorial i saw somewhere. It gets me close, but it still leaves me with a RInc of +- 6 deg. in relation to ISS...
Anyway my question is What is the correct heading I should enter in the scenario to get a minimum RInc? (I have been able to get to within 675 K of ISS but I run out of fuel correcting those 6 degrees :embarrassed:)

Hi

Realistically shuttle launches try to use a target heading of 042, this is because there is more land that the STS can land/crash on in the event of an emergency... but that's ok, I think a few times they launched southward.

Now for your Rinc problem, I think your heading is correct, however you might be launching a tad too soon, or too late. Try [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2802"]Launch MFD[/ame], It can get you quite a bit closer to the actual time of plane intersection.

Good luck,

thnx!

So, I have to wait for the ISS orbit to cross KSC Northward and the correct launch window! :speakcool: I think I'll start with nice Launch MFD Tutorial

I guess I just contributed my own two cents to the infinite human stupidity!!! he he he! Thanks!
