Why such hell continues to be raised over what add-ons are 'worthy' to be released does this community absolutely no good, and can only fan the flames which are burning quite well enough as is.
Why this topic keeps getting brought up is quite baffling to me.
There is something to be said for when someone new stumbles into this place with green horns and wide eyes and dreams that they can one day contribute with an add-on of their own.
I don't see a single person here worthy of the power to determine which add-on should be made public, and which should remain private. This forum is not such a place in nature that is something which must be protected. This or any other add-on is in no danger of soiling the 'good' name of the forum or the community, let alone the standing of other add-ons which have come before.
I have seen some great add-ons which proved incredibly useful to me be utterly ignored by the community at large, while inferior models I find lacking in quality and inspiration be bathed in what I would call unwarranted praise, is all well in line with that to each his own and there is no ultimate arbiter, no rubric which can be applied to determine what is 'worthy' of these sacred halls, and which would be better off tossed into the dust bin.
Should an add-on be in good standing with regards to copyright, and other restrictions on the use of other people's work, then it has as much a right to be in the hangar as anything else.
