OK, New to this forum, so apologies in advance if I missed the answer to this. Anyway, I downloaded and insytalled the Sound addon and all looks well (yes the module is activated) but now when I launch orbiter I get the following error message:
---------------------------
Orbiter Launchpad: orbiter.exe - Entry Point Not Found
---------------------------
The procedure entry point ??1LaunchpadItem@@UAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library Orbiter.exe.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I've uninstalled both the sound add on and Orbiter and reinstalled to no avail.

Other than no sound, the program works fine (Unlike the Pilot:P)

Any deas?

Thanks in advance

Very strange. That function is the constructor for the LaunchpadItem base class. I don't have OrbiterSound installed on my machine here, but it sounds like OrbiterSound is registering a class derived from LaunchpadItem but when Orbiter tries to create an instance of it, it fails due to not finding the constructor.

After that error does the program crash, or load the Launchpad? If it loads the Launchpad can you see, and activate, the OrbiterSound module? What happens if you de-activate, then re-activate, the OrbiterSound module - does the same error occur (I would expect it to)?

What versions of Orbiter and Orbiter Sound are your using? Also, after you have received that error message, can you please copy and paste the orbiter.log file here (do it whilst Orbiter is still open).

Finally, the author of the Orbiter Sound addon has his own forum here: http://orbiter.dansteph.com/forum/index.php. You might want to see if someone else has posted about this error and, if not, post your question there also.

Thanks for the reply, The launchpad does in fact load after the error message, and the OS module is active. As you suspect, deactivating & reactivating generates the message again.

I'm Using Orbiter Build May 4 2006 and orbiter sound 3.5.

I even redownloaded both programs to make sure I had the most current versions.

Aside from this, once I get to the launchpad the program works fine, just no sound.

I'll check the orbiter sound forum as well and see if I can glean anything from there.

Tanks agin for the response. I hope the info i just gave can help you narrow down the problem.

Oh and I see your from Austrailia, GO Essendon!
