NEED SPACECRAFT3 AND MULTISTAGE2

The N1 rocket, the Soviet's largest rocket ever built, was the choice for the Moon adventure. Unfortunately, it never left the atmoshpere. It has 30 engines in it's 1st stage.

This addon is made to simulate a soviet moon landing.

To do-list:
-Lunar EVA
-Improve meshes
-Many other things.

Hope you like it!

Look at the Apollo Direct Ascent program, too!

Are the meshes built from scratch? Is there any prior art you'd like to credit?

Nice job! Thanks for creating this. I remember playing with an N1 addon years ago in an earlier version of Orbiter and I was always disappointed that it was never updated. I'm having a lot of fun with your N1 addon right now!

:P does it have the same reliability as the original?

I hope not :P

You did a great job. I'm a real fan of "real world" addons especially historical ones such as this. I am really looking forward to future developkment of this addon. I'm having fun with it.:tiphat:

LOL....I hope not! I made it into orbit on my first try anyway.

Thanks a lot!
I thought that this add-on wouldn't like to the most of people, but now I have to update this add-on, to make it better!

Thanks FedeX for this addon.
I always liked the old one, but the best I ever achieved was a lunar orbit what is more than the real thing did :P

Good to see this monster in development again

Your English is rather good, but there are a few errors in the description.

No offense intended, just fixed the grammar a little.

Edit: Great add-on, having lots of fun with it and hope you continue development.

This is a great addon, but I can't seem to get into orbit with the autopilot. The third stage pitches towards earth which causes it to lose altitude rapidly. The engine also throttles down way before its out of fuel. I tried to save it by disabling the autopilot, but it was too late and my soviet mission died a fiery death reentering the atmosphere. I don't know what to make of this.

Same here, fuel quantity or thrust is too low.

I think the ascent profile of the autopilot is more of the problem. Its seems to pitch over too soon and quickly, and goes into a -10 degree pitch for much of the flight. It sounds like others here have gotten it into orbit manually? I just think the guidance file needs a little work. I'm really liking this addon though, its going to be a lot of fun to play with.

That's the onld one that I was talking about in my earlier post. It doesn't work with Orbiter 2010.

That sounds about right. I had the same problem my first launch but when I tried it manually, I was able to achieve a decent orbit.
