Hello. I have only just installed Orbiter on a new PC and have installed both the 2006 and the 2010 versions.

My problem is this: When I try to launch any of the Soyuz Family scenarios, the simulator loads, and the pad is there, but no rocket sits upon it. Try as I might, I can't get the rocket to appear! This happens for both versions of Orbiter.

Is this a known problem? Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I am fully prepared to do anything up to a full reinstall of the simulator and all additions.

Thank you in advance for all your help!

Two questions:
  1. Is this actually a software problem? If so, what software?

  2. What Soyuz family add-on are you writing about?

I'd assume on the old computer, the same Orbiter 2006 and 2010 installations displayed Soyuz family just fine, and on the new computer, the same configuration isn't working any longer, right? Maybe you are missing some C++ runtime libraries.

Please read "How to ask for help with an Orbiter issue" article.

Wow, actually it's exactly the problem I have too with the same add-on. I was going to simulate the tomorrow's launch from Plesetsk, as Galactic Penguin SST (did once using this add-on).

I have tried installation of the stack of the following add-ons on clean Orbiter 2010 and 2006 (patched), and anytime the rocket mesh was invisible:

  • Soyuz Series v1.0
  • Baikonur, LC1-pad5 for Soyuz
  • Progress CVEL

Maybe I still need something like spacecraft3.dll despite it's not listed by Mustard as a required addon?

Could you use Thortons SoyuzTMA,with these addons? If so could you please post Scenario, and config files.

Interceptor, the solution is to install [ame="http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3893"]multistage2.dll[/ame] and the rocket will be visible then.

It's also best to install any missing addons that are listed there by Mustard, if you want to ensure compatibility (some might not work with O2010P1, though):
