Gaming Space Engineers (now in BETA)

Note that if you bought Space Engineers on Steam, you won't be able to get a discount on Medieval Engineers until it comes to Steam:

Important note: Medieval Engineers will come with 25% two-week discount period for everyone who owns Space Engineers. However, during the 24-hour pre-launch window the discount will apply only for those who purchased Space Engineers through our eshop (we would love to be more helpful here, but unfortunately our eshop has no information about your Steam purchases).

They also seem to have changed block placement so that every time you switch block types, the rotation returns to the default, which is a pain.

Hm, i don't see the new "power off PC when running the game" feature in the list.

It worked fine before the update, and right after it the thing reboots (as in power off without any shutdown or warning) right on the "where to spawn" menu.
Several times in the row now.

I don't think it's my machine, since i just started ALL the other games at once, and everything is running fine, no signs of overheating or anything.

I think I figured out the new block rotation thing. The rotation resets if you exit placement mode unless you select the block a second time. I just wonder if this is an intended feature? I don't really like it.

By pushing the number of the item twice?

I made a thing:

Argyre-Sath Heavy Industries' Empire Prospect ore mining mothership.

I'm reworking the mining theatre at the front to accommodate the drilling craft. I underestimated how large they would be. The hull of the rear module is also unfinished, though the interior is pressurised and functional. (Or it will be pressurised in a future update!) :D

I currently try to build a Homeworld-like mother ship in a new single player game, but since I decided to also play in survival mode with realistic settings (1x speeds and 1x inventory) it will take a few hours in-game time to finish.

(But creative mode or 10x simplification didn't feel like fun)

Update 01.070

Another Free Weekend for the game is starting now on Steam, with -40% off discount if you decide to buy it.

Update 01.070 – LCD panel, new type of round armor

BTW, Medieval Engineers is available for purchase on Steam starting from today, too, with -25% off loyalty discount if you own Space Engineers (for 2 weeks):

Sweet! The LCD panel looks really cool and useful.

Medieval Engineers meanwhile should be downloaded by tomorrow morning. Can't wait to give it a go. It has two weeks before Homeworld Remastered takes over my whole video game schedule.

Sweet! I'd like to know, though, if those new armour blocks deform or not. I can't test it just now, and it isn't clear from the video.

I haven't yet launched the game to test it, either, but at least 2 people in the Steam forums in the update topic say they are deformable.
