Space Shuttle SRB Manual Removal?

Is there an addon out there that doesn't allow the Space Shuttle SRB's to be removed automatically when the fuel runs out? I want them to stay and only separate upon pressing the "J" button. If there is no addon for this would it be possible to make an addon for this?

In the future you will probably be able to simulate that on Space Shuttle Ultra! But it might take a while (months) until we get to that... stay tuned!!!
