Space Station Building Blocks Missing Parts

Just as I am new to this board, and orbiter... I am also new to space station building,

So I said, SSBB looks just like what I need! It Has All the Parts Im Going to need! Right? Right???

Well not for me, but I am only getting some of the parts advertised. I'm not trying to say that the creator is a con artist, Somewhere along the line I'm missing something small. I did get the spacecraft3.dll and put it in the orbiter root folder (the one with the .exe is what I call the root folder).

I tried to open one of the saves that had the station complete, made by somebody else...

I ain't that dense, the bottom error makes me think the spacecraft3.dll is in the wrong place.

I may indeed be a con artist, but the spacecraft3.dll file belongs in the "Modules" directory.

Thank you very much, I knew something felt wrong having it be the only .dll.

I'm sure that'll make the program happier, but I'm still not getting all the objects appear in orbiter.

As you can see, if you pull out the catalog sheet you'll see I only have one part of the center-fudge thing.
I don't have the dock thing, I don't have solar panels, I do have a bit... just not the fun ones...

Run this and post the result of the diagnostic

That would show you evident file inconsistencies that you could have.

Can't guarantee it will solve all the problems you are seeing, but it will help you with the solar panels and the radiators...

I can see you have not installed:
-Vinka's Spacecraft3.dll addon not properly installed
-Greg Burch's Big Space Plane 4 (BSP4) is missing
-Universal RMS addon is missing (I presume URMS stands for that)

I know that Universal RMS works, It may be that i don't have the mir2 station, which I should get.

I'll look for the BSP4 but I thought I got the dll, or is there more for spacecraft3?

Holy Crap!

I just redownloaded the Spacecraft3.dll pack and it worked, i think when i unziped it in compadability mode... oops!

Alright new problem (for me anyway) but I'll update what WAS fixed...

I am now able to go to the scenerios that you created that have the pieces already in them, but the .scn editor won't load up any of them except but the ones I said earlier. If this is a known problem (I did hear something about you say you don't use the Scneditor) there must be a way, is it possible to find the parts .cfg and move it into a folder that works better...

@n122vu: No kidding, I actually looked at that thread before I asked for help... but it seems that only people txt editing the .scn actually get it to work.

I'm good with computers, but I REALLY hate numbers. So the "native scnEditor" is great, I can load up scenarios with the parts in it now... thanks ar81, but Incase I hadn't made it clear... I am posting at 10:00 pm... I Can't load up the parts inside the scnEditor... I looked at the PDF that came in 4.1B and it was telling me that I was missing the animated parts.

So if you know how I could get it to load up into Orbiter through the scneditor, then placed in the ship with payload manager on my U-Cargo Deck, then lift off and obtain orbit, place the parts with Universal RMS on my ship, that would be great.

Of course the parts I already have can Do all that. What the trick would be is to be able to load the fun ones up with the scneditor.

look in ur config/Spacecraft/ folder and see if you have the solar and radiator panel .ini files, if you do then its as simple as making a config file to match the ini and then you can load them fom scneditor

Spacecraft.dll and Multistage.dll vessels use a special syntax for vessel in the scenario. Built in scenario editor is not capable of generating that code or some specific code of vessels involving attachments. Scenario editor is too generic, and except for some generic parameters each vessel class has its own syntax.

This is why I have made scenario generators

Thanks the BSP4 Senario Generator Works PERFECTLY! Though I wish you could add objects at the spaceport so you could go up, unload, then come down to reload. The others looked like they didn't support SSBB, but... I could be wrong, I'll just have to download them and see!

Each code generator is designed for specific vessels.
SSBB modules do not fit inside Space Shuttle. They are too big.
Only BSP can carry them.
No other vessel that are in those generators can carry them either.

ar81 is correct. BSP and his scenario generator is the best way to go. Using the cfg files to put the animated modules in the default scenario generator results in a non-spacecraft3 object that has no animations.

Although you will have to copy & paste components in .scn files each time you take more up, but copy/paste is a lot easier than sorting out cfg files, ini files, re-defining vessels in the scn file, etc.

BSP generator has a text field where you can add scenario code for other objects.
