Launch News SpaceX Falcon 9 F3 COTS2+ Updates

I'd love to fire up Orbit MFD on the right here, and put ISS as target, just to see the elements. Also - who's in what autopilot alignment? Dragon looks in retrograde, but what about Big Bird

SpaceX is halting Dragon's approach now. We're awaiting word on the reason.

Data show Dragon is now about 78 meters, or 255 feet, from the space station. SpaceX is changing modes on Dragon's LIDAR laser ranging instrument. This hold was not part of the normal plan going into the rendezvous.

So cool ... NASA Mission Control looks all mission-controlly, whereas SpaceX looks like they have awesome triple-monitor gamer PC's and laptops on the side. So they MUST be playing with T and R, right!!

A 5-10 minutes additional delay will now take place while more commands are sent to the LIDAR system (which handles laser telemetry).

SpaceX has finished its commanding of Dragon's LIDAR rendezvous system, and Dragon will soon start edging closer to the space station again.

SpaceX commanded a retreat. The Dragon was getting slightly off-course.

SpaceX just ordered a retreat from the ISS...

A. Kuipers confirms that range is increasing.
