Launch News SpaceX Falcon 9 v1.2 with CRS-10 - February 19, 2017 at 14:38 1UTC

Still a hope! They have until 6:00pm and they could even extend the window longer.

CBS's Bill Harwood reports that LOX load has been observed:

CRS-10 MISSION

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket will launch the Dragon spacecraft to low-Earth orbit to deliver critical cargo to the International Space Station for NASA. SpaceX is targeting a late morning launch of its tenth Commercial Resupply Services mission (CRS-10) from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The instantaneous launch window is on Saturday, February 18 at 10:01 a.m. EST, with a backup launch opportunity at 9:38 a.m. EST on Sunday, February 19. Dragon will separate from Falcon 9’s second stage about 10 minutes after liftoff and attach to the station roughly two days later.

The CRS-10 mission will be SpaceX’s first launch from historic LC-39A at Kennedy Space Center. Following stage separation, the first stage of Falcon 9 will attempt to land at SpaceX’s Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

Awesome, thanks. I'm going to be heading to the launch, telescope and tracking software in tow. On a clear day I should be able to follow the entire flight of the first stage, from launch to landing, but unfortunately the weather forecast is calling for a high chance of clouds. Nevertheless I do plan to try my best at capturing the launch and the landing up close.

Working a technical issue right now (small leak). Potential mission slip.

Looks like we are go for launch. Added an abort trigger at T-60 secs for pressure decay of upper stage helium spin start system.

L-30 minutes. NTV coverage has started. No issues in work for a T-0 of 10:01am EDT (15:01 UTC).

Hold at T-13 seconds and the launch is scrubbed!

---------- Post added at 03:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:02 PM ----------

Reason for the scrub was the TVC issue on the 2nd stage engine mentioned yesterday this morning. Not comfortable with launch. Next attempt will be tomorrow at 9:38am EST (14:38 UTC).

Not related. The helium they have been watching is with the turbopump start spin up system. It has nothing to with the TVC system. The TVC system issue only came up this morning.

Yea, I knew that. Just for some reason I transposed one another.

Have they ever had a launch where something didn't go wrong?

really, I think allow space x to use this launch site really means it will go for manned mission soon
