Problem SSU 1.25 launch issue

So I have been playing around with the SSU 1.25 scenario STS126 Launch.

I can get everything on the tower to retract except the clamps pinned to the aft section of the orbiter (the red ones pinned to the port and starboard sides of the orbiter's main engines). I have looked at every readme and spent literally all day searching the forums to no avail.

I can run the checklists and prep the orbiter for launch, but it stays stuck on the ground at full throttle.

Please, tell me how to release those clamps.

PS I attached a screenshot showing the clamps (blue circles) and fuel line (yellow circle) that I cant retract

You mean the T-0 umbilicals and the gaseous hydrogen vent arm?

Do you try to launch manually or do you follow the launch countdown?
 

Then that is the error. SSU is too complex to be launched manually, that you can still manually ignite the SSMEs is a legacy problem that will get removed along with the new DPS.

If you launch manually, there is no automatic activation of the T-0 umbilicals.

Currently the correct launch countdown is more about scripting the events, but later, there could also be hard physical model reasons, like thermal conditioning and tank pressures that require the correct timing.

So you're saying Ill have to follow the countdown of one of the premade scenarios...I cant just run the checklist and takeoff whenever I want to?

Is there any other decent shuttle mod out there that enchances the model/texture quality other than the Fleet mod? I dont like the fleet mod for what I do with orbiter, its too glitchy.

Rather surprisingly, that's the case with the real shuttle too...
 
The whole idea of SSU is to simulate the shuttle realistically from launch and during Orbital operations, so it's pretty hard to understand and use at first, if you'd like something simpler you might want to try the default Atlantis or the shuttle fleet.

Also realistically between launches - see the fighting with the Crawler lately.
 
I've seen it, the thing is looking amazing :thumbup: I'd hate to be the one coding it though :lol:

Thats why I leave SiameseCat the full honor of doing this beast. :lol:

I am already at the limits of my incompetence by doing the recent DPS improvements.

You could try running a mission and save it about 2 min to launch.
