I don't know what or how it happened, but the sun on my game does not orbit.

Any ideas what it could be? the only way it can change is if I set the stardate on each scenario differently.

Now that's a question I haven't seen before. What do you mean "the sun does not orbit"? The Sun doesn't orbit anything in Orbiter -- stuff orbits the Sun. Do you mean that the planets are not orbiting the Sun in your Orbiter instance?

The sun doesn't orbit. :uhh:

In soviet Russia, sun orbits you.

I suspect you meant to say "rotate", but the answer is still "No, it doesn't".

My suspicion: OP installed Orbiter Multiplayer, which stops the Earth's rotation.

OP: If you didn't make a backup of your stuff before installing OMP (as instructed in the OMP readme), reinstall Orbiter.

LMAO I had a feeling I wasn't too specific :p

I mean like, no rotation, orbit, nothing.

I time warp so that my scenario can go from night to day, and it stays at night.

I think that's as good as I can make it lol

Did you not actually read what people wrote?

Notably:

Do you have OMP installed?

This only happens on Earth or also occurs on other planets?

I've only tried it on earth, no lit up ground.

simply simulating nighttime throughout the entire game play.

I did download the multiplayer, if I reinstall; that won't take away any of my mods will it?

like the UMMU Cargo pack, arrow freighter, f-302, etc?

I did download the multiplayer,
I must be psychic!

Depends on the mod. For most things like vessel addons, it won't get rid of them, since they don't replace any of the default Orbiter files.

My recommendation is to start from scratch. Make a new Orbiter install, and add addons one at a time, making sure after each one that there's no problems. And if you ever want to use the multiplayer addon, make a separate Orbiter install for it.

Why not just replace the earth.cfg with one from the original install?

Wouldn't that fix it without him having to reinstall?

Then again, it is probably easier to just reinstall unless you really know what you are doing.

I have heavily modded my Orbiter install, so I'm not sure how inconvenient it would be for him.

I have an older version of it, I just replaced my entire config from there and it did the trick! :D
