Can anyone point me to SUPER-high-res moon textures and bump maps?

2500x1250 are the biggest I've been able to find.

I'm rather hoping we're going to see it in some documentation for a certain addon I've been waiting weeks to see released... :D

Yep, right here. 8192x4096 .

What are you gonna do with it?

THANKS! -- that's a major improvement, but if anyone knows of anything even higher-resolution, I'd appreciate the pointer. I'm trying to generate some low-lunar-orbit views in Bryce. This texture you've pointed me to is good down to about 800 miles altitude or so, but gets too pixelated below that.

... smart fellow ...

I've looked at that, but am daunted by the challenge of the amount of work that would be required to stitch together a single texture image from smaller pieces acquired through that site. I may end up doing that eventually, but am shooting to try to release today the addon in which I'd be using this texture.

So if anyone's aware of a super-large, single image texture map of the moon -- please post it up here, and thanks!

I have a 13646x27291 clementine image at work, can someone point me towards a place where I could upload it? The file is 2Gb...

Here are the ones I've used to make that last moon texture of mine.

But it's not perfect, has some seams.
The instructions to download the whole texture are on that site.

You're right -- there are some "blips' in the image, but i figured out how to order a mega-resolution image and it's good enough.

THANKS!!!
