Error Surface Base Wizard error

Run-time error 482: Invalid picture.

Surface Base Wizard crashes when I try to edit runway segments (as in this post: http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=5714&highlight=opening+problem).

I'm using Vista right now, and it didn't work on my previous XP computer either.

How can I get rid of this error and be able to work on runway segments correctly?

There is not too much information to diagnose the situation.

Errors with pictures use to be related to:
-Missing picture file (error should say file not found).
-Corrupted file or unrecognizable format.
-Other?

I do not have Vista, so I can't say too much about it.

The error happened when I clicked on "1 SEGMENT" in the "Runway segments" window.

It happened on my Windows XP too, so I don't think this is a Vista-specific error.

If it is missing a picture file, what picture file would it be? I presumed it is missing a Runway2.bmp (since SBW can't read .dds files), so I made a file called Runway2.bmp from the original Runway2.dds file. Still doesn't work.

The files all come from the original Orbiter installation and have not been modified, so I don't think the files should be corrupt or damaged in any way (unless I have a virus on my computer).

Is anyone else having this error?
ar81, can you edit runway segments normally without errors on your computer?
