Hello fellow orbinauts :)
I'm sorry if there's another topic on this idea, but I couldn't found one, so if it exists please send me a link and delete this, thanks :)
So, I've got this idea - I could build a base on Luna or another planet using the same modules I use for space station building. But it seems they cannot dock while laying on surface, which is of course problem.
My question is, if anyone knows how to dock modules on ground or have any idea how solve this problem?
Thank you!

ATM surface docking can launch a vehicle out into deep space (or other strange behavior). It is something that I believe is being worked on in the current beta.

You may get past the surface docking feature (not a bug), but using attachment points. I haven't tried this, it would take some reworking of the modules config files, I might give it a go this weekend.

I will give UCD a try :)
Thanks for answers!

UCD works nice. I'm not very happy that from controlling it via scenario editor, but I think it will do for now.
Now I just have to find some as-realistic-as-possible vessel able to land gently on Luna surface with module as payload. Any tips? :)

i also like to use Universal Remote Manipulator System, release 3 by Kulch to get things down to the surface safely without using ctrl-F4. Simply because its very easy, just be sure to purge the payload before exiting the scenario
