Programming Question Temperatures

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to be able to figure out the temperature of my vehicle during re-entry or even just flight in atmosphere. I know this is possible in the XR vehicles, would anyone happen to know the equation or equations.

As far as I'm aware, Orbiter can return the heat of the plasma. The rest depends on the properties of your heatshield and how much of it is exposed to the plasma at what angle. Not sure though, I never did atmospheric code so far. I don't like atmospheres. They make stuff complicated

Do you remember which function it is ?? I've searched the API guide thoroughly and could'nt find anything like that.
