News 'Ten shot dead' at Batman film premiere in Denver

I think the root to all this evil deeds is the violent environment we are living these days.
There are a lot of movies, PC game etc. with violence in it's content.
Some people interpreted it different than other people.
Some people grow up in a violent environment, and that have a physiological effect on people.
Every time something like this happens, people like you try to blame violent movies or video games with absolutely no scientific backing for that claim.

The Onion is a humor site, and that article was apparently written for comedic effect...so why is it relevant?

I find it to be very true, as the Onion unfortunately so often is. (and Slate regularly has more laughable stories)

Fort Hood slaughter, Texas
Columbines slaughter, Colo
Virginia Tech slaughter
Tucson, Arizona
University of Texas slaughter
March 10, 2009, Alabama shooting
Luby's slaughter, Texas
Wacko, Texas
Aurora, Colo

Why are these events remaining unknown of the New Hampshire ?

I think I'd prefer only having to worry about one source of flying bullets as I try to escape.:)

I'd rather have a source of bullets that aren't trying to hit me. I'd prefer to know that the gunman is at least somewhat suppresed or even injured.

What exactly makes anyone think that the shooter couldn't separate fiction from reality?
He didn't dress up as a super villain and make nefarious plans to destroy the city, after all.
He went to a movie premier, dressed adequately for the occasion, and started shooting while people were watching the movie. There's no indication whatsoever that he would have had a problem to divide the fiction on the screen from the reality of shooting moviegoers.

We'll see, what goes on in his mind... during the trial. It can all also just be facade.
