Problem Terrible Frames/See through sky.

I am having two problems that I have been unable to locate a solution for. The first is, The sky when flying in the atmosphere is see through, I know that sounds weird but what I mean is I can see space, even during the day. I am not sure what caused this and have never experienced this in the past.

The 2nd problem I have is most understandably frustrating, and that would be the poor frame rate issues. I can play FSX on ultra high graphics and run 20-30 frames a second, but when I run orbiter one that is significantly less taxing on my system I get about 7 FPS I have tried reinstalling and have been unable to come up with a solution as of yet.

My Specs: I know its alot but I wanted to be sure to include everything.

You are suffering from the so called "Black Sky" bug.
It is easily fixed as described here: http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=11086

Regarding your framerate, check "Always enumerate devices" in the video tab and select the last device from the list.

It helps for the most part but I still get wierd drops in frame rates, Thank you though.
