Jaakko, have you tried with all the boxes un-ticked in the "Visusal effects" tab in Launchpad?

You coul also try changing the "Screen resolution" and "Colour depth [bpp]" in the "Video" tab.

The log says your device has no T&L capability. Which means you selected the wrong device, because your card is very well T&L capable.
Check "Always enumerate devices" next to the device selection and see if your card comes up with T&L.
This may very well fix your issues.

What Means term HAL in DirectX mode?
I have these settings in Orbiter:

Resolution: 1024*768
Zbuffer: 32 bit
Stencil Buffer: 8 bit

What is a Stencil Buffer?

That loud buzzing noise caused me some great problems. I had to replace my display drive card and power source. Also my hard drive got messed up so I needed to install windows again. Yuck!. What a job there. Sorry for posting in old thread but i wanted to tell my sad story here. I have major writings in my school this month. Just a little newsflash here.
