Hey guys I am using the XR-2 and GPCMFD for landing, at KSC. I know this is probably not the appropiate ship for this, since GPCMFD was designed for the shuttle.Anyways just wondering how close to the hac circle do you have to fly your ship to line up correctly to the runway, and what speed and altitude. It always seems that I am too close to the runway, after following the HAC, and have to come down at a very steep angle. Also sometimes the PAPI does not always light up. Is there a way to insure that I can always be in the range of the PAPI for proper landing procedure. thanks:cheers:

Keep in mind that the PAPI (and probably GPCMFD) are designed with the Shuttle's rather steep (20 degree) glidepath, and an XR's is closer to 15, or less.

Why not just take the HAC a little wider in the XR2?

Not ideal but it will do the job.

You know it would be really cool, if someone made a PAPI that you could set depending on the crafts glide scope.

Not fused about the PAPI but I'd love an MFD that gave HAC steering cues for different craft types.
