I have imagined a great Apollo addon which would combine the best elements of NASSP and AMSO.

From NASSP:
- of course vAGC mode and functional panels in cockpit
- Saturn IB rocket (it looks really fine)

From AMSO:
- the models of Saturn V, CSM, LM, Lunar Rover, launch complex - everything except Saturn IB (NASSP still uses very old models from version 6 which often look awfully and AMSO have a really beatiful graphics)
- the EVA on Moon (catching of stones etc. ;) )

This addon could work in two modes: funny and easy-to-use as in AMSO and complex simulation with panels and vAGC.

What do you think, is it interesting idea ? Pity, that authors of both addons don't cooperate. The NASSP gets wasted - the work surely stopped in 2012, some people from AMSO could help in development.

Once upon a time I had a thought like this. I actually emailed the people involved in the development of both addons and got to talking. The short answer is that it is not going to happen.

The long answer is that the fundamental goals, design philosophy, and code architecture are worlds apart and trying to mash 'em together would only cause tears.

Better to learn what you can, and either join a side or start your own .

Speaking of which...
