I am new to Orbiter and I have three small requests which may not be add-ons as such.

An option to display the system date/time instead of the scenario date/time in the top-right of the screen.

Add grid lines with perspective to the default planet/moon uniform surface. The lines could be kilometer squares or latitude/longitude lines. This would help beginners to see motion in low-level flight.

Change the docking HUD to display ship's docking port status open/closed, instead of landing gear up/down.

I am interested to hear your feedback

Kieran.

I'm not sure if Point 1 can be realized, point 3 has to be done by vessel, but for point 2 you could try Orulex, you'll have enough moving going on then ;)

point 1 would be pointless. when you are conducting missions you want to know the mission time which may be anyhting past present or future.

if you have to launch 1:01AM UTC on the morning of 17/12/2332 its not going to do you any good showing you the system time.

our survey says, get a watch or use the windows key(or alt-tab) to get the taskbar to show which will have your system time.

Kieran,

If what you are looking to do is START a flight from right now, there is always the DATE option in the scenario editor. Make sure your plugin of the scenario editor is activated on the Orbiter launch-pad, then once in the sim, press F4 to open the menu, select the custom button, then scenario editor. You'll find the date option there.

All the best.
