I developed my own Sudoku solver as an Excel spreadsheet, if anyone is interested. (Yes, it can be done to an extent)

Did you use your solver, or do that by hand?

Both.

For these really tough ones, my solver gives a partial solution (I need to work on it some more). I make a few guesses by hand, but the whole process takes 5 minutes or so.

It isn't cheating if you program it yourself.

Platinum Sudoku 2, professional level. At first, I was astounded at little I had to work with. I totally :facepalm:d when I found the obvious clue.

This one isn't really difficult exactly, just...clever
