Yes, that is 100 years from now. The fact that the UAE had their first satellite among the 104 launched by India last weekend, seems to give them a lot of self-esteem.

I certainly wish them the best of luck. I'm very happy that a Muslim country is looking toward the future with science and technology instead of a Caliphate with scimitars and Kalashnikovs. I also think this needs far more mainstream media coverage.

Elon Musk is proof that lots of money can get you a fair amount of progress, but he doesn't have to worry about US tech export laws since his company is domestic. UAE will have to import a fair amount of rocket science talent.
