It wasn't too difficult at least. I just followed Dansteph tutorial et là voilá! Now Long Shot is also UCGO compatible. Soon in your computers. :)

I think it may be better not to make LongShot UCGO, and simply attach some cargo container UCGO compatibles, with 40 cargos each. The way I did only let LongShot to have 40 cargo containers attached. I'd like to do something like XR5 system.

Yes, the cargo deck idea looks good, if a little complex. Ah well, nothing a little RTFMing won't help me with.

Better results, but I "downgrade" the UCGO code to use the Universal Cargo Deck and the XR5 Cargo platform. It makes my addon more-third party dependant. I don't know what to think about this.

I'm also increasing RCS thrusters, because at full load, this is a monster impossible to rotate.

If attached by Payload Manager or similar I think it could work quite well.

That seems like a reasonable decision, especially since the Long Shot is pretty obviously designed to work in concert with the XR5. Although if you decided you just have too much time on your hands you could implement both systems (and maybe a built in arm too? Although it only takes about 20 sec to add our own with URMS)

I'm really amazed at how fast development on this beautiful ship is proceeding; at the rate you keep adding features Long Shot is quickly becoming one of my favorite default deep space vehicles. :tiphat:
 
Attaching cargo platforms looks logical, if you use Longshot with XR2 and XR5 (which don't have stock UCGO support, but platforms).
It is also more handy: platform can be moved in one piece, instead of handling each box separately.

Also, if a full loaded ship becomes too heavy, what about having more than two levels of RCS thrust?
