Project Ultimate Project ISS for Orbiter

Forgot to mention:

The exteriors will have some systems also, like sun-tracking arrays, fuel transfer & remote vessel control when docked (so you can control new module) These have already been done. Thorton can now C++ code, and he is awesome. More systems will be included later when we do interiors.

First release will be all missions up to STS-92 (ISS4A)

Now I'm going back to work on it some more:) (I'm currently doing .ini files for Proton Zarya launch)

Here's a taster of Thorton's latest models:

LOOKS GREAT KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! When you say all the missions do you mean all the STS missions? Or all the ISS STS missions?

All the ISS STS missions + ISS Soyuz & Progress missions (up to ISS4A)

OK... you do know that the Russian module main engines are all hidden behind doors when not in use? The doors get opened when a burn is planned, but otherwise, the engines are protected by the doors from debris.

Yes, we have animations to open/close engine covers:)

Where are those doors located? On NASA mission images (from 2000) the thrusters are always visible.

Yes, they are always visible, but doors close over the end of them to protect them.

They are on aft end of Zvezda:

Ah, okay, you are talking about the main engines. I should read more carefully :)

Anyway, I did not know about the doors at all.

I doubt we are talking about the same thrusters. ;)

OK, I am no longer working on this project with Thorton. I have left as he sent me a PM saying he was angry at me for posting about the project. I cannot work with him now. ISSU will continue now using meshes by Donamy & code by DaveWave, if they are still interested. I still want to include all systems I originally planned.

More updates soon.

I am no longer working on Thorton's project. He will continue on his own.

I will now work on ISSU with a new team (which is really the original team):)

So wait thorton was doing his own project? If so why would he or you post about it here?

Hold on - sorry for the confusion.

The ISSU project was to make an ISS complete with systems, interiors & various other features.

Then RussH left, and so I tried to find another coder to help.
We did - DaveWave.

But then Thorton learned coding, and so he said he would do all the stuff needed for ISSU on his own, but it would be his project, not mine. So I joined him to help him.

But due to, lets say, a personality clash, I deicided to leave (or he fired me, whichever way you want to look at it):P

So now I'm looking to continue with ISSU with the original team. I think there are enough people to help now.

So the ISSU project will continue as planned. Thorton will continue with his ISS, but it will not be ISSU.

Does that make any more sense?:)

------
I should add that I wish Thorton the best of luck with his project:)

Yeah but why would he do that to you if this is your project? Why would me make his own?

Update

Update:

I'm nearly finished making textures for Destiny (at the moment just to test that they look OK). Currently plan to use meshes by Donamy.

Me + DaveWave have also had a chat, & we plan to have more. All we are doing at the moment is discussing possibilities/how things should work.

Here's a lo-res preview of my Destiny textures so far (I am custom making them from real, hi-res ISS images). They are not completely finished yet. I will eventually do all modules.

WOW!!!
That's some nice work. Keep up the good work.
