Skycrane almost ready. Any thing extra? I can add an attachment for a spotlight. But not sure where? I can put in the cfg so it can be editted.

It has Kev's Cargo boxes but now they are UCGO vessels. So you can load them up with 6 UCGO crates.

I saw the suggestion about making the key S for start. I can make that change if needed in the Bell,....

On the other copters. All I need is a mesh and I can go from there. I looked for some of those. And didn't find them. They maybe of Goggle Sketchup. But then they would have to converted and granted permission for use.


For sight seeing I would use the Chinook. Also for heavy lifting. Working on a version of that

Here is a new dll for the Dauphin. It adds a auto hover. Press J to turn it on and O to turn off. What it does it keeps the speed at <.2m/s. It might be shaky. But it helps you maintain the position above so you can pick up Ummus or freight.

Hey Gattispilot, I was wondering if I could make a request for an aircraft? Although its a little different from the helicopters youve been doing, would you mind creating an Avro Arrow addon?
 
What does it look like? If I have a mesh then I can do it.

Ok I need help!!!

I found an arrow mesh. It is from flightgear. I have permission to use it. But it is in .ac format. There is a export/import to blender. I have got it into blender but don't know how to apply texture in blender. The I will will export to 3ds.

I got a UH-60 blackhawk also
 
Why not exporting untextured mesh into 3ds format and then texturing it in other program (that you know enough to apply textures)
 
I can do that. This would just cut out the middle process. I don't know enough blender to apply the texture

I was able to apply the texture in blender. BUT I guess when it exports to 3ds the texture does come with it. I tried the blender to mesh script and it didn't work.

Not sure on the cockpit what she looks like.
 
Now we just need a SAGE MFD add-on to make the Arrow useful. :rofl:

Do you need any help with finding information? I have 1 or 2 books on the subject at home that might be useful.
 
On the Arrow. I am using the Deltaglider lift functional right now. I would say I get too much lift. I have to trim the elevator -.04 to maintain level flight. thrust is set at 2*56000 N

The thrust produced is:
Powerplant: 2 × Pratt & Whitney J75-P-3 turbojets

Dry thrust: 12,500 lbf (55.6 kN) each
Thrust with afterburner: 23,500 lbf (104.53 kN) each

So I set the thrust at 2*55600. For lift function I am using the Mig 31.

Alos need to limit the thrust by ATM pressure like the copters

The vessel has spoilers underneath the belly. So I need to add a key to operate them. I guess they act as air brakes.

I need to add a key to operate flaps.
 
Better add a second set of thrusters, that produce the afterburner thrust. Old jets are VERY slow without afterburner. Add the Afterburner, when you exceed thrust level 0.95 on the main thrusters.
 
so something like
get thrust level if thrust level is > .95 the set thrustlevel of after burner to 1

make afterburner thrust amount of 104530 N each so 2 of them?

I think she is fast enough. She climbs at a high rate of climb just applying thrust. No elevator applied. So I may need to trim her.

I think I should add that afterburner to White Knight.
