Project Universal Car for Orbiter (UCO)

It will be released on Tuesday. Question is, which Tuesday? Hopefully it's in the subset of Tuesdays composed of all Tuesdays between now and the end of my life.

EDIT: Ninja'd! I must type faster.

Anyways, looking good Dan.

It depend if you're 110 old already !?? :)

Anyway I can do a shuttlePB in two days, for more I need a bit more time. ;)

The biggest part is done yet but as I'm always wrong with my delay all I can say now is that release will be several days before christmas. 100% sure. Maybe one month... dunno.

Heh, I'm not that old yet. I've got decades to go before I get anywhere near there.

Anyways, this will make a fine Christmas present. Here's hoping nothing major comes up.

Bona fortuna.

I should appoligize to my family now, I will be busy during christmas.

Et voila, DGIV UCGO cargo compatible, it can grapple/release up to four cargo and also "eat" fuel or oxygen cargo to refills it's tank.
Awesome. Thank you for this feature! Will save time on moon trips as I will no longer have to EVA and grab a "fuel" container and bring it to the nosecone to refuel. Very nice!

Looks amazing, still!

Two questions: do the inflated bases have collision? If you take off your spacesuit when inside one of them, what is there to prevent you from accidentally leaving it, and dying:P?

Also, will users be able to make their own modules for the base?

No collision yet. As it's 2d doing one may not be so complicated but as any author can do fixed or cargo base with unlimited count of poly or base modules it may be a system ogg, doing it by config file with the shape might be too complicated for average author. Last doing this would add at least 15 days :) I would be confident about performance if an increasing number of user would not be back to miserable framerate with vista (<30) let's see if the new Orbiter have this problem also.

So in the config file you can define a "bounding circle" around center of module or base, user must just take care not to exit without spacesuit.

Yes user can do either fixed or cargo module base.
Cars, Cargos or breathable bases doesn't require any programming, just one mesh and some parameter in a config file.
The doc will have an "author" section with a clear choice of what they want to do.

Hot Damn! Dan... Holy crap, the Arrow looks amazing, and I just can't wait for flying that final approach with the DGIV. The Arrow is the finest piece of engineering when it comes to mother ships, (but maybe the VC could use some other flight stations the one control station in the center of the deck, cause... well, space is money).

The UCGO crates will change Orbiter's entire use of cargo, basically your not towing around cargo that doesn't make sense.

And the cars! What is with you and putting all these things out at once?
