Project Universal Car for Orbiter (UCO)

I think you might mean slick stuff!

I got FS Passengers ages ago and it's a great addon, some of the cabin crew comments during flight are hilarious

Sundog, is it possible I can get that skin from you?
Looks fantastic.

Dan, no offence, but it really seems you want to finish this: your typing mistakes are being recurring. You'd better sleep.

Well, most probably it's only my english that is really bad but it's true I lack maybe a bit sleep.

After 27 hours without sleep before last night I was going to bed and thought I must NOT wake-up before I had my 6 hours of sleep. After some hours sleeping I had a look at my watch: perfect, right 6 hours ! Then I woke up really and in fact it was a dream and I slept only 3 hours, my brain was simply to enthousiast for work and fooled me with this dream

Thats really sick stuff... :) Dan I wish your company (or is it only you?) would decide to do something similar for Orbiter.

Well, my "company" is me and ... my wife which is secretary :P I always dreamed to make a complete game and had several projects started last 20 years (one elite like and other stuff) but I had not enough knowledge to complete them, maybe now I'm ready but it's a hell of work.

Okay. My try at a DGIV UCGO skin. I may release this with a SunDog Super-pack of all my previous DGIV skins.

GRRREAT work Sun ! Look really awesome !

Okay I just woke up. back to work !

Todo first a pernicious bug with arrow's selection of Cargos on disk, then maybe one or two cargo mesh or a new UMMU mesh... I'll see. The day is long enough in anyway.

Best

Dan

No Gary, I'm afraid he does mean "sick". That means really awesome in American kid slang today.

When the master says it is nice work, I know it is nice work.

Thank you all for the kind comments! I will release the UCGO Skin in due time. I have decided to do an inverse colored skin for UCGO too. I want to give the Orbiter Community ample choices when Dan releases the Orbiter.

As I stated earlier, my plan is to re-release all of my skins. I'll include UCGO skin,s with that release. It will also have my Black OPS, NASA skin, Spirit of 1776 (American Flag), and DGIV Suisse skins. Maybe I can include some nice wallpapers too.

Thanks again,

Just to add to the other comments, that skin looks AMAZING!

Okay folks. While Dan is working diligently on the UCGO and the Arrow to create the wonderful work we've all come to love and appreciate, I have completed my contribution- UCGO SKIN PACK for the DGIV:

The original skin is in the center. The one on the right is the inverse skin, and while I was testing, I liked the way the orange wing looked with the gray body. I created a third skin that I call the UCGO 5050 skin (half regular/ half inverse).

I plan to release these in a single package and as a "SunDog Skin Multipack" which will include my blackops skin:

My NASA skin:

My "Spirit of 1776" Skin:

And my DGIV Suisse skin that I made in honor of Dan ( I especially like the Matterhorn rudders):

Orbiter, DGIV, and UCGO are beautiful in that they are all about choice. I like the choice of being able to set up nice scenarios and getting lost for a little while. My programming skills are nil, but I have always enjoyed skinning and creating scenarios and tutorials. When UCGO comes out, this pack of skins should make your choice of a logistics shuttle-craft much more fun! I want to create some new pictures and documentation for these packages, but if all goes well, maybe I will release on Tuesday ;)

They all have a certian style that i like.

Hmm, I'm thinking of pitching in and making my own DGIV UCGO skin... not original in the least. Third time's the charm?

WHAT'S NEW ?

Working working... beside other work I tried to land "the beast" (arrow freighter) no problems for me but it's a bit sensitive maybe for somes. So I started to work on a hover autopilot (same as UMMU) that will help medium pilot and a landing autopilot for Noobs.

This autopilot just need one nav frequency, XPDR do fine while ILS are too short range. (Any XPDR of Orbiter can do the job, UMMU have as one well as most vessel)

So I have done a cargo that contain a XPDR balise.

Logicaly such big vessel would not land before someone make a reco of the landing zone, so such balise would be ideal. Once set the pilot of Arrow just need to Orbit at low altitude passing over this balise, set the correct nav frequency then launch the Landing autopilot 1000km before passing over it.

The balise unpacked: caution wet paint ;)

Neat Dan. A portable transponder for the base. That reminds me of the advanced party flights I went on in my C-130 days. Good use for the Arrow Freighter Logistics Shuttle ;)

Yes, I love that idea. I've used my own (very poor) mesh for a similar purpose but this is so much more fun!

I released my DGIV UCGO skins. You can find them at [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4229"]DG-IV Skins For UCGO[/ame]

Also, they will be easily available on Dan's website too shortly. Dan is just a little bit busy right now. He isn't even on his own forums which normally means he is in serious programmer mode.

Cheers to all,

Dan, how the hell did you get those cargos to have shadows be cast on them?
