Advanced Question Universal Cargo Deck carrier for the XR5

Hey. Im looking for advice on the UCD. I follow the instructions in the text file and create a UCD carrier and attach the UD CARGO Deck to it. But the ships warning program keeps spamming me with "Warning Docking Port is closed".

I can turn off the warning in the config for the XR5 but I can no longer use any of the MMUs. I can start the EVA but when I return and press E the program crashes. I know they are connected to the same problem as when I remover the Cargo Deck both problems stop.


Is there a way round it? Or am I doing it wrong as is so often the case?

I created the UCD carrier way back when the UCD was incompatible with the XR vessels. Kulch has upgraded it since then, so that the UCD carrier is not required, and you can attach the UCD directly to the XR5. To disable the warning callout, I just rename it in the sounds directory, so it can't be found. I've never noticed the UMMU problem. I'll have to give it a try.

Its ok I got it sorted now I didnt know there was a addon on orbiterhanger that lets you attach items directly to the XR5. Would be nice to be able to use the UCD though for item that are not normaly carried. And the MMUs Work now.
